Currently dosing more kalk than evap and need to program 2 schedules and need some help…

Need the following:

1) 10:00pm-10:00am turn pump on every 30 mins for 3 mins but only if PH is less than value.

2) 10:00am-10:00pm turn pump on every 60 mins for 3 mins but only if PH is less than value.

Do I use a combiner with OR command?

You can make two timers using the generic output type. then use a combiner output type to combine them using OR for combiner mode since you want it on if timer 1 or time 2 is on.

Ok, so as long as I have input for PH to turn it on at low, then the schedule won’t override that? Just want to make sure the brain knows not to run the pump if PH is already above the low point even though it’s time to run according to the schedule…

Use the pH input as a input on the two timers and set it to active when low. You will have to set a low and high pH value. The low will turn it when get to that low value if the schedule is also active. If it get up to the high value it will turn off.

Out of curiosity, what are you using for a dosing pump? Guessing Hydros based on the short duration runtime? I am debating FX-STP2 or Hydros. FX-STP2 has its advantages with variable flow rate but at 5x the cost it makes Hydros appealing even with some of the challanges dialing it in.

For a pump I’m using the Milwaukee MP810 peristaltic pump. Price point and flow rate was spot on for what I needed. I have a day schedule and a night schedule which basically turns the pump on for 3 mins every 30 mins during the day if PH is below set point, and for 4 mins every 30 mins during the night if PH is below set point. Only turns on once or twice max during the day, and usually consistent every 30 mins throughout the night. When I only dosing based of PH I was dosing more than I was evaporating, so I had to throttle back and do it based of ml’s (calculated flow rate vs mins split over the course of the night). I can’t even keep PH at 8.3 via kalk alone, so I added a scrubber which brought it up a bit. I’m pretty much dialed in at 8.20-8.22 24/7 and will start to dose 2 part once Alk falls back down.
