Wondering which would be best to try and dose kalkwasser to stabilize pH. I basically want to dose based on pH rather than a set schedule.

Would the Hydros Doser be able to run that often? Would the Kamoer be granularly controllable through the Control X4 as much as I'm assuming the Hydros Doser is?

I am not sure about the Kamoer working with the Hydros. It could power it off but that may not be a good idea. I have a Hydros dosing pump and use it for my ATO. The Hydros does have dynamic dosing control but you would need to use a simple dosing pump that runs when powered like the Hydros dosing pump.

You will still need a schedule to use dynamic dosing. It just changes the amount dosed based on pH. This is one I used to test dynamic dosing. Since it is actually dosing All For Reef I made the amount of change very low for the test. It takes a while for All For Reef to affect the alkalinity. So I used the natural pH swing of my tank to allow a change in dose depending on when the dosing happens. There is a screenshot of the amounts dosed below also.

Danny,

I also dose All for Reef but have not seen it change much pH wise. Now Alkalinity is another matter it will raise Alk though. Have you seen All for Reef effect your pH that significantly?

I was doing it mainly just to test the dynamic dosing and check it out. That is one reason I kept the minimum and maximum close. I use mine at half strength so my dose is double what it would be at full strength. It would take a week or two for the affect on pH. Alkalinity even takes a while to change. It is not a very good thing to use to check out dynamic dosing but I do not dose anything else at this time.
