Kraken low power mode not functioning

My power went out and previously I tested everything about 4 months ago. All my settings were programmed and checked by someone at hydros. Now my power just went out and the sole function of why I got the kraken was for the battery back up to cut on and work the wave engines. The powers back on so for giggles I flipped the power breaker and caused a mini black out I discovered two things and these things are an issue for me. The first thing is when hydros is not connected to the internet when the power is down the system is very difficult to do anything in Bluetooth mode and two the app is not switching my pumps to turn on when in low power mode. This is an issue and scrambled to find my ecotech battery backups and I did all kinds of things in the dark but this should have not had to happen and need some answers to why it happened. I literally tested it a few months ago, thank god I was not gone yet on my vacation.

I'm having a similar issue, my octopluse 2 just will not function under 12v battery back up. Not sure where the problem is. I also can't connect to the collective master via Bluetooth for some reason which makes troubleshooting nearly impossible.

Some pumps will not run on 12v. The Kraken will only supply 12v on the force ports when it has no power. So if you have pumps that will not run on 12v then they will not run. Also if you router and cable modem is off you will need to disable wifi on the device with the app so it will use a mobile connection to connect with the cloud. The app has to connect to the cloud for you to be able to use bluetooth.

Need more info to assist. Need screenshot of your OPTIONS screen to understand which mode is low power. Then need screenshots of MODES with the low power mode selected. This will provide a list of outputs active in low power mode. At a minimum, the output providing power to your Wave Engine and a low power OctoPulse schedule must be selected. If you don't want to share then suggest contacting CoralVue Support Portal.

The app needs cloud access to authenticate and then can provide access via Bluetooth. It is intended for override access only, not configuration. And you need to connect to the collective master. Master is identified by a white led in the upper corner. This is the current state. Requests for alternate access have been submitted and presumably efforts are underway.

Ended up contacting support, still don't know why I could not connect to the collective master via Bluetooth (it was showing as unavailable to connect) but my thinking is that it's better to keep my router and modem on a UPS to avoid having to deal with Bluetooth. 12v really messed with the pump so I think I need to do some testing on what minimum level is needed via wave engine to run the pump in an emergency for 12v operation.

I found I had to do the same thing. You have to consider it is running at half the normal voltage. 20% at 24V is much different than 20% at 12V. You may not need to double the expected percentage to get sufficient flow but at least need to increase it. It's a bit of trial and error process requiring some simulated outages to get it right.

I have to turn off wifi on my phone when using bluetooth mode to communicate with the controllers. The app still has to connect to the Hydros cloud to connect even in bluetooth at this time. One the app is up on the phone then click the bluetooth icon in left menu at the top. Then select the wifi master to connect.
