Hi All,
Although it's nice that the provided tubing is small for the Minnow and Blenny, I am running into some challenges trying to get it to work with dosing containers. I can't seem to find bulkheads or adapters to cleanly go from the provided PVC Tubing Size (IDxOD): 3 x 5mm to something more standard in USA like 1/4" push-connect fittings. The reason I want to do this is to DIY some caps of provided Modern Reef RKS containers with bulkheads with rigid 1/4" tubing going to the bottom of the containers, and on top connecting to the flexible Minnow tubing. Has anyone done this successfully or found a method that's air-tight and works?

I’ve used these together to adapter the blenny hose to my ice cap dosing containers that use push fit 1/4”

This push fit into my dosing container.
Which goes from 1/4” to 3/16”

Then use 3/16” ID tubing (use short piece)

Then finally these barb adapters from 3/16” to 1/8” to adapt to the dosing tubing provided.

Unfortunately they don’t make a direct 1/4” push to 1/8” barb. So ya gotta piece wise it.

Make sure to keep the tubing between the push connect and barb short as possible, it helps with crimping and leaks.

Other option is to use these 2 together. You’ll need some teflon pipe tape or similar to make sure the seal is good.

I am going to try these two along with this 1/4" rigid tubing that is compatible with push-connects to go to the bottom of the containers.

I’ve done something similar and the stepped adapter approach is basically the cleanest option right now. There’s no true 1/4 push-connect to 3x5 mm solution, so chaining down with short sections works fine if everything is tight. Keeping the reducer sections as short as possible and using rigid 1/4 tubing inside the container really helps with siphoning and leaks. Once it’s seated properly, it’s been airtight and reliable for me.
