Ok folks, i'm getting a new router and wifi for my house as the old one is crapping out on me.

How hard is it to switch my controller and wifi strips?

It's very easy if you follow these directions. :)

Thanks folks all went smoothly except I have a reefbrite led that is plugged into a Wi-Fi strip and was running great and on a schedule, now it keeps on going on and off. I deleted it and set up again but it still is happening

Is it the output going on and off or is there an issue with the reefbrite?

The strip is going on and off, never happen before..when it goes off it last 2 seconds and than goes right back on, the Wi-Fi strip light goes from red to teal ..the reef brite seems find I unplugged it and put it into a regular outlet and it ran fine, no off and on

It’s definitely the Wi-Fi strip, all items on the strip I just noticed is going on and off, never had this issue before changing router and Wi-Fi

Your new router does have the 2.4ghz channel and the 5ghz channels with different names? If not that can cause communication issues with the wifi strips.

I have two Wi-Fi strips and one is perfect while the other one is the trouble
That is true but it could only affect one of them for now. Also on wifi issue rebooting your router might also help. The only other thing would be to use replace to replace the wifi strip with itself and see if that helps.

what do you mean replace to replace?

You can try paring the wifi strip with the collective again but use replace so that the wifi strip is replaced with itself. That way you will not need to delete it which would require you change any outputs that are setup to use the wifi strip before deleting it. To replace you use wifi devices in the left menu and select the one that has the issue. One of the options is replace. If you were replacing it with a new on you would also use this that way it is added as the one it is replacing.

Danny,
I tried that also, no go..i tried that about 5 times..

Sounds like you need to submit a support ticket. There may be an issue with the wifi strip. If you get any blue light in the light circle around the button then it is loosing wifi signal so it could also be where it is placed it is not getting a good wifi signal.
