Newbie Needs input Help

Hello All,
I am having an issue with the input type options for a control xs. I want to add a rope leak detector, but i see no option for a "sense port" after i create the input. I only see options for Focustronic test, KH Carer test, Static input, and iV test.
The xs is in a collective with an xp8. Outputs seem to work as advertised. Running FW 323.
Any trouble shooting suggestions would be appreciated.
