pair xp8?

Hope this isn't a dumb question. I can't figure out how to connect my new xp8 to wifi, before I wire it into my collective. Collective instructions say not to add it to the collective unless it's on wifi first.
When I try to use the add wifi device procedure, it doesn't give me an option for device type xp8, only for quad outlet, single outlet, or wifi feeder.
If I try to use the pairing procedure for quad, it doesn't work because it won't pair. No button to press to get the fast blink.
Am I missing something???

That is because the XP8 is a controller and not a wifi power strip. You have to setup wifi settings like you would the cotroller you have. Use the + in the left menu to setup the wifi and name the XP8. Don't forget to name it when setting up the wifi configuration. Also you will need a Control buss cable and at least one terminator to hook it to a collective. Also make sure and remove any power pack that is connected to the control buss before connecting the XP8.
