I got my new set up….and it gives you the options of 4,7 amd 10…..but the hydros 4 only came with 7 amd 10 Ph calibration packets? Do I need to order a Ph4 packet?

Three point calibration will give you better accuracy. The need for three point calibration really depends on why pH range you are attenpting to measure. Tank is normally high-7s or low-to-mid 8s so within the range of 7 and 10. If, however you were controlling a calcium reactor where melt point is in the mid-6s then you'd want 4 and 7. Or measuring alkalinity you would measure initial pH in the 7-8 range and add acid to drop sample pH to 4.5/4.2 so you would need all of them. That's why the optuons are there. For the basic tank monitoring you're fine with the 7 and 10 they sent.

I didn’t know that…( not sarcasm) I’d never guessed why those numbers are those numbers. .thank you….
