Good Afternoon,

I had my quad wifi strip working and we got a new network and I cannot get this strip to connect to the new network at all. My control 2 is connected to the new network and it was easy as it could be.

The new network is 2.4hgz only

I have followed this HYDROS Control - How to Pair WiFi Strip/Smart Outlet down to the letter

I have completed several full power cycle of the strip the controller and my router.

I continuously get the linking timed out and it fails.

Now the strip wont even connect back to the old network either.

the controller would have to be on the old network also for them to communicate with each other. Both have to be on the same channel on the same router to work.

I put the controller back on the old network and it seemed to connect the strip then I swapped the strip over to new and it came on. Then I swapped the controller back to the new network and They now successfully on the new network but the outputs say restart wifi device? I restarted router and the controller and there is no change the wifi strip is on and responding now but the outputs are not turning on due that error

I just got it all working finally I have been trying for two days now.

I had to re link the strip again and again....

Router was showing them all connected before just wasnt fully linked I guess with the controller and wifi

Did you use replace or the regular pair routine. If you did not use replace it will probably see the wifi strip as a different wifi strip instead of the one the outputs were linked to. If that is the case just reselect the output device on each of the outputs to the wifi strip.

I did replace I never could get it to work on regular pair either

It is now working for you though?
Yes sir it is working now. I had to use the replace several times.

It appears strip needs to go on new network then the controller I did it the other way around and thats were trouble began

The times I have changed out my router I setup the new one with the same password and name as the old one so all my devices will hook up without having to redo their settings. I have about 45 devices that connect to my router.

Yes sir that is correct. I made a new segregated network for my Reef stuff so it was a different name and password

Merry Christmas!
