i know you cannot use the wave engine as your main device. but if you have a c4 and wave engine in a collective and the c4 goes down, can the wave engine still operate the wifi strips thru the collective? Or doing this makes it easy to control everything together, but no redundancy. And can you run a return pump off the 0-10v port in the C4, or just the wave engine.
thanks

No, it will not operate the WiFi strips. The WaveEngine was designed a few years back and did not have the necessary hardware to master and take over. Folks were asking for the WaveEngine to be part of the collective, and unfortunately, that is the main drawback and limitation of the unit. That's why when you add the WE to the collective, it does not allow you to set a WiFi Master preference but instead only allows you to select None.

If you want to add the redundancy of the collective, you will need to add another device, such as the CX4, CX2, or the CXS.
