Really a point for discussion, I've had a rope leak detector since I first put my Hydros 4 in service. It's been sitting there monitoring for leaks ever since, occasionally alarming due to mistakes when I'm doing a water change. However last week I was on the golf course, phone turned off, and when I'm done I check the phone and Leak Detected alarm is in! I race home preparing for the worst, open the door and nothing, tank looks perfectly normal. Thank God lol. Anyway I check all around the tank and there is no evidence of water. I didn't do anything until in the middle of the night the controller alarms again. I go into the living room and again no water. I then lowered the sensitivity of the detector and the alarm immediately cleared. My question is, is there a history of the detectors becoming more sensitive with time or is it failing. Since I made the adjustment I have had no issues.

I have found that the room humidity level can effect the sensitivity. As the humidity changes I have to make minor adjustments . At the level I have now I can just leave it but it took a few false alarms to get there.

Yes, the humidity level is the main reason we added the "Sensitivity" option to the input. It is impossible to create something that fits ALL different needs. We needed to allow customers to make adjustments.

All good, that's what I kind of thought but I hadn't seen any talk about it.
