I'm using the Sole and like it but trying to learn more about it. Two questions
1. What is the meaning of the mode led when flashing green or solid blue.
2. What does the tab in the app "unkink tubing" for and do.
Thanks

I have not used unkink but it is also on the X10. I have not payed too much attention to the lights since my Sole is in the garage. The mode light on mine is solid blue but that s how all the controller I have with mode lights are.

I started tinkering with my Soles today also - not having much luck. The QR code on the box takes me to the Hydros manual section but apparently there isn’t any manual yet for the Sole?

It is a single smart dosing pump so you would set it up as a smart doser in the app. It depends on how you are going to use it how you would set the output up. What are you going to be using it to do?

I am using it for continuous AWC, have two of them. I haven't had any issues adding it to my collective or setting up the pump. My issues are physical - the 1/4" push-fit connectors are INCREDIBLY tight - to the point where I couldn't fully seat the RODI tube (standard 1/4" tube - worked just fine in the Versa pumps that the Sole is replacing). It was so tight the fitting wouldn't function like a normal push-fit, and you couldn't depress the little grommet to remove the tube. I had to actually disassemble the connection each time to remove the tube.

This inability to fully seat meant the pumps weren't moving any fluid. I had to remove the plastic compression washer entirely - after that, the tubing seated fine and the pumps have been moving fluid drama-free since. I am curious to see how well they hold calibration with the 25ft run to the garage.

I suspect that a lot of customers will struggle with the push-fit connections. Perhaps I got bad pumps, but the issue exists on both of them that I got.

@John Neuzil have you had similar issues with the push-fit connectors? Curious what tubing you are using as well.

ONE of my Sole's has the blinking mode light like yours, one does not. Odd - both were set up at the same time, in the same way, and are configured to do the same thing on the same collective. No issues - just weird one blinks and the other doesn't.

For tubing i am using ro tubes. I unscrew the sole fitting and push the fittings inside onto the tubing the way they came out. Including the o rings. I leave about 1/4" of tubing below the two o rings and screw it back together. Might be a better way but it worked for me

Such a pain in the butt - I don't know why they didn't just use the tried-and-true standard 1/4" push fittings? I'm not sure if this huge hassle is a design flaw or somehow intentional.

When you say two o-rings - you mean both the plastic compression washer and the rubber O-ring?

A fella in the Facebook group posted this:

Do not remove any parts of the slip-connect fitting. Loosen the outer nut slightly while pushing the 1/4in RO tubing into the fitting. You will feel it slip past the orings. Then you tighten the outer nut. To remove the tubing from the fitting, unscrew the outer nut till the tubing releases from the fitting.

Yes and there are two o rings

No answer on the blinking mode light yet? I only have mine added as a device/pump so far - no schedule yet so maybe that is why they are blinking?

Also - does anyone know if you can somehow reverse/flip the in/out? Given that these hookup on the left and right instead of the bottom it would be really nice if I could reverse the input and output for better plumbing.
