Basically operates like a standard optical sensor, in the fact that it can read WET or DRY. It reads wet when the bottom 2 sensors are covered. It reads dry if all 3 sensors are dry. The input will also read OVERFLOW if all 3 sensors are wet. Overflow is only used to generate an alert for the input via the settings. So in summary, the sensor input will read DRY, WET, or OVERFLOW.

I'm trying to choose a sensor as a safety to the ATO. With the triple sensor the same price as the double, is there any reason not to choose the triple?
