Hi , I set up my wave engine tonight and for some reason , it won’t control the two gyre pumps I have set it up with . I’m using direct input 1 and 2 for each gyre , have it set to sine mode , and for some reason, it won’t run the pumps . One thing to note is that when i press the “ tile “ on the status screen for each pump , it bring up a window that allows you to choose between OFF-MIN- AUTO-MAX. It will run the pumps in both min and max , but not AUTO, which should be the default for whatever preset I chose . Anyone have any suggestions ?

Sounds like a configuration issue with the trigger, preset, or pump settings. I’m attaching some examples that I use. See if comparing them to what you use works.
it took me a while to do it, but I’ve managed to set up a daily cycle to vary my gyres and return pumps to change flows during the day and night. It also pauses for an auto feeder that drops pellets 3 times a day. Keeps the food from going down the sump before my fish can eat.

Thanks for taking the time to share those images . That was helpful . I have my gyres set up very similarly but for some reason they won’t actually run the pumps unless it’s in MIN or MAX mode . Let me ask you , on your status screen for the WE, what does yours say under the “Preset” heading ? Mine says : NONE, even though that isn’t the case?”

@Brisay

On the picture you sent, your Group Trigger and Group Preset are set to "None," so the WaveEngine will not run.

Did you make sure to assign your "TRIGGER" to the Normal Mode?

Go into your Triggers and assign them to the "Normal" mode, and the WaveEngine should start to work.

Thanks Carlos. That was it . I didn’t realize you had to set a trigger to make it work. Seems to be working perfectly now . Much appreciated .

You might check one more thing: your pumps are both set to “opposite”. I believe that means they will operate in sync. I have mine set as “same” on one and “opposite” on the other, so that they run in an anti-sync mode. This works well for me, and I never tried setting both to opposite, so maybe it works that way too. Anyway, see if they are running the way you want, and if not, try the change to just one of them.

I see you are from Singer Island. I used to spend allot of time there till they tore down the Hotel I used to stay at and added timeshares.
Used to vacation there and Scuba, snorkel fish and take the day cruise out to the Bahamas sometimes out of the port.
Used to be a guy named Ron the Hat man who used to make palm hats too we used to talk with all the time. I actually used to know pretty many people down there at one time.

I had this same problem when i was first setting up my GYRE pumps. The instructions are not clear on the need to set to “normal”. Might want to make this setup instructions easier for us newbies

Thank you. We tweaked the instructions to clarify the point.
