why is blue tooth read-only?

why is blue tooth read-only? seems to me that should be the default to edit. if the internet goes down, I still want to connect to it. Last Thursday ComCast was doing upgrades in the neighborhood, internet was down for more than 4 hours.

Because it is not connected to the cloud and changes in setup have to be saved to the cloud. You can still change outputs from Off/Auto/On if you need to do that. You just cannot change the programming.

OK. That is how it is currently implemented. It just seems that standalone operation should always be available. One can have a button that does update the cloud. Many other applications and games use the cloud as a way to save/connect to others, but don't restrict local access to read-only.

Perhaps the real limitation is the choice of cloud service.

I would like to see BT enabled as fully functional and the Cloud config pushed-up for backup/sync when Internet is available. Having just gone through a lengthy Internet access outage yesterday, which began just as I had started some significant changes, I found myself scrambling to disconnect devices that weren't operating properly and unable to turn off/on some critical WiFi outlets.
In my experience, Bluetooth operation has been extremely slow and often times out. Plus it's super-cumbersome to turn off WiFi on my phone so the Hydros app doesn't hang when it can't get beyond my local router.
Once I figured out all the nuances of operating Hydros via BT, it sure would have been nice to have the ability to continue with my changes and save them to the cloud when Internet access was restored nearly a day later!
