Wifi Strip connecting

So i spent over $600 on this hydros and cant even get a single strip connected. Im following the directions on

and using the app (ios)/ clicking the 3 dots in the upper right and nothing, all i get is 4 fish doing a circle...... I havent disconnected my apex stuff yet thank goodness!

Do you have a mesh network. Do your 2.4 and 5.0 ghz have the same name?

these directions are very vague.... i connected the controller now added the power strip, controller is on my app and i added the power strip but power strip doesnt stay powered on for what ever reason now

This is what a wifi strip looks like when it is plugged in and is communicating with the Hydros system. Do you see something different?

Also once it has been paired it should show on the status page of the app under wifi devices like in the screenshot.

yeh thanks got it all connected running after i figured out you have to do the controller then the strips, i was using the strip directions because i wanted to plug it into the strip. Directions suck but once i got it all connected and running wow its alot better then the apex i was using.... impressed thus far now that im done having a torrets fit connecting

Connecting the power for the Hydros controller to the Hydros strip is a no no anyway. The power strip gets all instructions from the controller. If you loose power the outlet will not continue with the programming until it gets the command from the controller. Since the controller will not be powered it will never send a command to the strip. I have no experience with the Apex. I came from the Archon to the Hydros. It was quite easy to get the hang of. Once you get used to the generic output and the combiner output you can figure out some complex operations using them.

So if I only have 2 outlets available should I plug 1 strip into the wall the controller into the other wall outlet and then my second strip into the first?

I have my ATO and temp/heater all set up with all my pumps and am loving this now. !!

I have one of these that I use. Not exactly sure where I got it but I bet Home Depot or Lowes would have something similar.
