So I bought my hydros x4 used in great condition and have been using it for over 6 months flawlessly. Recently the ato sensor has been saying it’s dry when it is wet and causes my pump to overflow the tank so I unplugged replugged just to eventually get the same thing. I decided to just manually turn it override on and override off for top offs and planned on getting a new sensor but now my temperature sensor is displaying 185 degrees F which is obviously false and I did the same unplug replug and even reset the hydros all together but still same thing. A few days after not messing with them for a while I took both sensors all the way out noticed the sense port for the level sensor is completely filled with what looks like salt and some water seems to be inside the actual sensor so i’m wondering if maybe the seal broke and water traveled through the wire and caused the salt to creep on the plug??? Main concern is water got into and ruined the sense port section which is why the temperature sense stopped working leading to an expensive fix…? Any help is appreciated here are some pictures image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Those connectors do not look good. You can try some electronic cleaner on them and that may help. Also make sure and set a maximum on time with run past max on time set to off in the advanced settings for an ATO. It will depend on the pump you are using as to how long that needs to be. It could be only a few seconds or several minutes if using a dosing pump. Also set a alert level for that so you can get an alert if it does happen.
