Input buttons and update 177

Not sure what you mean, can you provide some more details on your configuration and what was lost?

I'm using Harrys break outbox with his switch box connected to that. The one with two switches and two buttons in the middle. The buttons are 2v and 3v and the buttons stopped working after the update.

Oh ok, that gives more context. What are you using those buttons for. For controlling modes or did you make dedicated inputs that are buttons/switches in hydros?

I am updating my Control now to check- as far as I know nothing should have changed.

You can troubleshoot the input by creating an analog input on the channel the switch box is plugged into. Leave the scale at 1, and no offset. Once you upload this, you will have a live reading of the voltages applied by the breakout box. Can you verify it is reading 2v and 3v when the appropriate button is pressed?

Edit: or double check in options that the mode control input is *Still* correct after the recent update.

I know with 177 they updated the 0-10V input selection for MODES under the options tab, this was mostly for collectives where you could now select which control 4 the input was being used from. This wasnt an option under 165. So you might want to check under Options where you specify "Mode Control Input", and change that to something different, upload, and then back to the input you are using for modes (if you are using buttons for modes). This may correct something in the configuration if it is this.

I've been using the 2v for feed mode and the 3v to turn off my ato in a mode.
Yeah, check above under options what your Mode Control Input is set to. Are you using a single Control 4 or have a collective?

Yes it's reading 2 and 3 on the correct button.

Nope, didn't work.

Collective
Interesting, I will have to check this tonight. I have 177, a button box, and a collective. Only thing I have noticed is that if you are already in a mode, like feeding and you try to use a button trigger to go to another mode, it wont trigger. Buttons only seem to work when you go from Normal => another mode.

Yep. And it was working fine before the up date
I just checked on another stand alone control 4 I have with 177 and I could get 2/3v to trigger modes fine. Go into your modes and check the voltage ranges haven’t changed for triggering those modes.

Not sure what could be causing the issue, but presumably the box itself is working because you can see the applied voltages correctly.

I have one other suggestion in my playbook. Did you try turning it off and on again?

Not yet, but I will try that this afternoon.
Thanks

Rebooted the Hydros and no change. Toggles work but not the bottons

Hi Harold,
Just in case you didn't hear, Carlos told me they discovered it's a problem with the app that will be fixed in a few weeks.
