Looks like these are on a backorder with no clue to when they’ll be back around. Is there another cable made that can work? I’ll only need 1 0-10v cable to hook up a Varios 6 to my WaveEngine..

How handy are you with a soldering iron? They're not too difficult to make and I could walk you through it if you want.

Let's see if someone from CV responds. If you can't find anything after a week or so, hit me up and I'll make one for you.

While not as cheap, another option would be to get one of these breakout boxes and use it on the 0-10V output port. Both the 0-10V input and output ports are the same pinout so these boxes can be used for inputs or outputs.

Then buy some TRS 1/8" pigtails like this and just wire them into the breakout box: https://www.amazon.com/Fancasee-Rep...=1643214852&sprefix=trs+pigtail,aps,64&sr=8-6

You might want to find some with a longer cable or just buy a TRS cable and cut it yourself. The wiring for the TRS plug is : TIP = 0-10V, Ring = not connected, sleeve - Ground

Here is a 6 ft one: https://www.amazon.com/Fancasee-Rep...6&sprefix=trs+1/8+cable+pigtail,aps,54&sr=8-8

Thanks! I will let you know how my search goes… Would you be able to do a dual cable or just a single out of curiosity?

That sounds like you need two cables: one for the 0-10v OUT port to drive the Varios and, one for the 0-10v IN port to receive the switch signal. Or am I not understanding what you're looking to do?

I’d put the door switch on 1, and the Varios 6 on the other. The Varios 6 requires the factory controller but can receive commands from the WaveEngine 0-10, it is not Direct Drive compatible unlike the 2 and 4 models. Both inputs to the WaveEngine.

Yes that's what it sounds like he needs.

I might be able to make you a custom breakout box based off my design that uses 2 cables to 1 box and split the terminals so that you have 2 input ports, and 2 output ports. One cable would go to the 0-10V input port, and one cable to the 0-10V output port. Both cables would have to go to the same Hydros Control box since the 5V connection is shared inside my box. Id just need to do some manual internal modifications to my design. Might be a slight cost increase over my standard box since it will use a second cable. If this is something you'd consider, send me a PM.

Sorry if you already understand this - I'm just making sure we're all on the same page. The Hydros devices have 2 ports, a 0-10 INPUT port and a 0-10 OUTPUT port. Each of these ports offers four connections for a total of 4 OUTPUTS and 4 INPUTS, but you cannot mix and match (e.g. no putting an input and an output signal on the same cable). @JeffB418's offer to have one breakout box that has both inputs and outputs (along with two connecting cables) could be a really good way to go.

Am I misunderstanding the ability to connect the Varios 6 to the WaveEngine while still use the stock controller? Sorry if I am, I’m just trying to put all the pieces together with these quad cables.

In theory, I’d want to connect my door switch 0-10 input that will turn the cabinet light on/off via an XP8 plug. Also, connect the Varios 6 (needs the stock controller) via 0-10 as well to command it.

I don’t understand it, that’s why I’m asking- and you guys are likely repeating what you have already said, so I’m sorry about this! Just want to make sure I hook this up correctly. The Varios 6 I do not believes needs to be connected via 0-10v OUT due to its controller

Yes, you have it backward. An input always connects to an output. The Hydros device will OUTPUT the 0-10v signal, which the Varios 6 controller will input (and then drive the pump). Your cabinet switch will Output door state (open/closed), which the Hydros device will INPUT.

So what would my direct connections look like if I were to do what I described?

Door switch connect to (?) on WaveEngine
Varios 6 connect to (?) on WaveEngine

Before I answer that question, do you just have a WaveEngine or do you also have a Control module?
