I have to say I do hope it changes with the Hydros and we see a change back to some standardization or at least modules to handle some of the more popular equipment. I have to say I think some of it has to do with Neptune creating their own equipment for the Apex. When they did this they because...
Yea in Pc's they failed allot. I think they were also used in some later year arcade games.
First thing I did when rebuilding power supplies is replace the capacitors back in the day. The really old ones were just dried out.
When the Chinese capacitors came on the market they were such garbage too.
I have had a few power supplier fail for me. Both my Vortech have had their power supplies fail plus a few other dc pump power supplies have failed on me too. I used to restore/repair classic full size coin op games and the first thing I did was rebuild the power supplies. It certainly does...

There is a port on the bottom of the VarioS controller for 0-10v. You need the controller and power supply for that.

If you want to hook it directly to a direct drive port you need the cable below.
This will allow you to eliminate the controller and power supply.

My point is if you have proper signal there is not reason for it to drop unless the equipment goes out. Sure walls affect the range and stuff is on the fringes which equipment should not be can drop. Also a proper IT person also knows how to design a system to take in account...
Why does everyone think WIFI is less reliable than wired? Makes no sense to me because they are both hardware dependent. That piece of hardware fails on either side it does not matter if it is wired or wireless. A router/switch/hub can fail just as easy as a WIFI hotspot. As long as it is set up...
