Looks like there was some cloud issues that are fixed. Maybe this caused the issue for some:

    Hydros 'ecosystem'?

I have to say I do hope it changes with the Hydros and we see a change back to some standardization or at least modules to handle some of the more popular equipment. I have to say I think some of it has to do with Neptune creating their own equipment for the Apex. When they did this they because...

Power supply redundancy - anyone addressed it?

Could it be done with a no/nc relay? What does a ups use to go from normal power to backup power?

Power supply redundancy - anyone addressed it?

Yea in Pc's they failed allot. I think they were also used in some later year arcade games. First thing I did when rebuilding power supplies is replace the capacitors back in the day. The really old ones were just dried out. When the Chinese capacitors came on the market they were such garbage too.

Power supply redundancy - anyone addressed it?

Yea I think he meant more than one power supply to one unit like using a transfer switch type situation.

Power supply redundancy - anyone addressed it?

I have had a few power supplier fail for me. Both my Vortech have had their power supplies fail plus a few other dc pump power supplies have failed on me too. I used to restore/repair classic full size coin op games and the first thing I did was rebuild the power supplies. It certainly does...

Adding a Varios 6 to the Wave Engine

It is so it can control 4 different pieces of equipment. With my test unit I was running two pumps on 0-10v so I used 2 of those cables.

Monitoring power usage on power outlets

Yep that is what I though because when I was testing mine I never saw anything for this. Thanks Carlos.

Monitoring power usage on power outlets

Lets see if we can get @Carlos or @Don to answer this. I have not tried setting up alerts with mine and took it down for a bit. I can try this weekend. I know the description says it does have alerts but maybe the software side is not there yet.

    Additional Probes

Easy to do. I do wish there was going to be something but I think Carlos had mentioned it was the price for the probe ports would be to expensive. But hey who knows things can change especially if costs come down but I would not plan on anything but the C4 having it for now.

Monitoring power usage on power outlets

Hydros single smart plug should be able to do that.

    Additional Probes

It doesn't have probe ports. As far as I have heard the answer is no nothing with probe ports.

Adding a Varios 6 to the Wave Engine

Ok sorry yea the 6 is only 0-10v.. I read the last post. There is a port on the bottom of the VarioS controller for 0-10v. You need the controller and power supply for that.

Adding a Varios 6 to the Wave Engine

0-10v you would still need the pump controller. If you want to hook it directly to a direct drive port you need the cable below. This will allow you to eliminate the controller and power supply. HYDROS Reef Octopus Varios 2/4 & OctoPulse 2/4 WaveEngine Pump Adapter SKU: HDRS-WE-OCTPA...

    Split Control 4

I work IT too.. My point is if you have proper signal there is not reason for it to drop unless the equipment goes out. Sure walls affect the range and stuff is on the fringes which equipment should not be can drop. Also a proper IT person also knows how to design a system to take in account...

    Split Control 4

Why does everyone think WIFI is less reliable than wired? Makes no sense to me because they are both hardware dependent. That piece of hardware fails on either side it does not matter if it is wired or wireless. A router/switch/hub can fail just as easy as a WIFI hotspot. As long as it is set up...
