I have found that the room humidity level can effect the sensitivity. As the humidity changes I have to make minor adjustments . At the level I have now I can just leave it but it took a few false alarms to get there.
I think your question is what happens when internet is out. The system keeps running because it doesn't need internet, just need wifi for the wifi devices to operate.
All the outlet lights went dark. The only led light on was amber on the wifi. No collective message until I tried the update to bring the xp back to life.
So today for no apparent reason my Xp8 which is part of a collective decided to stop communicating. The X4 kept running the system along with the X3 but no response from the XP8. A hard reboot brought it back to life. Is there something I should be looking at to figure out why it did that?
Are the bubbles dropping down on the sensor? When they do it can sense wet. On my nano tanks I take 3/4" silicone tubing and make a little guard that slips over the sensor so it will only read when the level in the cup rises.
