Compatible Dosing pumps?

Yes I know I watched the cvtv workshop. To give you an idea I dose Aquaforest 123+ which uses 3 heads, plus I am dosing Nitrates with the 4th head. I got the X3 controller that does not have a drive port so my only option is to use a dedicated power bar for 4 single head pumps and honestly they are not convenient to mount on a control pannel + plus additional wires etc... I work in IT as a Sales Engineer for a software company. I am not an developer by any means nor am I an API specialist but from what I understand from my developpers, anything in terms of feeding data between 2 software can be done if they are both using the same API. As the command ports on the Hydros use CANbus to share data, and that the Kamoer F4 Pro has CANbus connectors, I am just suggesting that this would be a nice feature if the Hydros could be used as the programming interface for the smart doser. A single pane of glass for everything. As there is a partnership between CV and Kamoer, maybe this is something already in the works, and if not maybe they can consider it... I know I would buy a F4 if I was able to interface it with the Hydros. If not, I might buy a RedSea ReefDose or another brand of Smart Doser or just keep the one I have if I have to use it as a standalone and in a different app anyway...
I use 3 of my 6 drive ports for dosing pumps. They are not the Hydros dosing pumps. I do have a Hydros pump ordered and will try it out as my ATO once it arrives. I am hoping it will fit where the other pump is now. I have a X4 and two X2's for the drive ports. It will take CoralVue and Kamoer together to allow Hydros to access the Kamoer pumps. That would be nice if it does happen, but it can be accomplished with 4 Hydros dosing pumps if you have the drive ports to use.

Are you going to use these to dose? If so you can add more than one pump when setting up the schedule. You can get 4 of these and use drive ports. I think they will also use 12v power packs also if you want to use an AC output. They are basically a pump that runs when powered. All control is in the Hydros.
Does anybody know what model 12v power pack works with the Hydros dosing pump? I don't have drive ports (yet).

He will still need to replace the end plug right?
That is a Kamoer power supply which is the same as the Hydros since it is made by Kamoer. In fact I plugged the Hydros pump I am using into one of the cables I have made for the Intllab pumps. I can plug the cables into either of the pumps.

Right, but does it come with the end to connect to the drive port connector on a hydros doser?

They were looking for a power pack to run the pump on AC power not on a drive port.
But the Hydros pump only has the drive port connection I believe. So if he buys a power supply without that connection? Am I missing something?

Never mind. I see it now. I forgot what was on the back of the pump. I should have looked instead of relying on a faulty memory.

I'm assuming that because I don't have a drive port, I can plug the pump into an outlet using a 12v power supply instead of the drive port cable they include. Their site says "Power: 12V (You CAN use a regular 12V power supply and connect it to a WiFi Strip Outlet)"
Right?

Correct.

You can do that, but just be aware that using a wifi strip that if it looses communication with the controller for any reason the output will stay in the same state it is in until communication is restored. That means if the dosing pump is on when communication is lost it will stay on until it is restored or power is removed from the strip. I for one do not want to take that risk with dosing something that an overdose can be a disaster or overfill the system causing a leak. Depending on what you use it for you can limit the reservoir size so there is not enough there to case a big issue if it does happen.

Thanks! Yes, reservoir is small. And when I get my new Hydros with the drive cord, I won't need to do this.

I have seen the question posed here but no direct answer from the folks @ Coralvue. Will there ever be a direct interface between the Coralvue command bus and the Kamoer F4 pro CAN ports so the doser can be controled by the Coralvue app? If the answer is no just say so please.

We cannot say yes or no. This is a direct answer . We never know what the future holds. If we have enough customers with the same request then sometimes we can act on those requests, but it takes 2 companies to be in agreement. This is where it gets much more difficult . I do not see this as an option in the near future. If I were you i'd also reach out to Kamoer directly and let them know that you'd like to see further integration. :)

I run the F4 pro 4 head doser and would love it to be integrated into Hydros.
