Connecting 4 Tunze pumps

Also, when you set the min and max on the schedule they will fit within the min and max set on the pump. so 1% on the schedule will actually be the min setting you set for the pump. And 100% would be the max set on the pump output. Check the voltage at one of the outputs that is working and compare them with one of the outputs that does not work. Since they are setup the same the voltages in each mode should be close to the same. If they are it sounds like an issue somewhere other than the controller if a good working output and one that does not appear to work output almost the same voltages in the same modes. Make sure you voltage Is positive and not negative on the meter since you are connecting the black probe to the ground of the plug.

Usually on a digital meter it will display it as a negative voltage like in my photo. I purposely switched the leads so it would read negative here. You can use the 20v scale instead of the 1000v scale if you want. It is set to 1000v scale in your photo.

So after some trouble shooting it seems it’s the new Hydro WE Tunze adapter cables are what is not working. All 4 output lines on the quad cable work. I have 4 adapter cables two work two don’t. Who should I contact? Bulk Reef Supply or CoralVue

You can submit a support ticket here Submit ticket . You can also note this thread in the ticket also as to how you traced it down to those two cables. Glad to hear you have it figured out I was thinking that might be it since the previous voltage were what would be expected at the quad cable.

So I received replacement cables in the mail yesterday. When I went to replace the two cables I have that don’t seem to be working, I noticed that they are about twice as long as the cables I have that do work. Upon opening one of the replacement cables I just received I noted that it too is longer than the working cables. I hooked this new replacement cable to my X4, set up a 0-10V output pump profile and it just doesn’t work, exactly the same as the other two cables I already have that DON’T work. The pumps only function in the override off position. I tried all different combinations I could think of in the settings, I tried calibrating the Tunze controller. The pumps work fine without the hydros, they work as expected with the two shorter cables as well. Is it possible that these longer cables are from a new batch and they are wired incorrectly? I find it hard to believe that I have 6 adapter cables 2 are shorter than the rest and work and 4 long ones don’t work and it’s something I’m doing incorrectly. Please advise!

I should note that all 6 cables were acquired in 3 different orders. The 2 working cable I got in March, the other 4 I received in two orders over the last month.

Michael this is from a thread I started in Reef2Reef. I find this curious that between just myself and one other person we have several cables that don’t work and a couple that do. All cables look like they are wired differently! Here is the link to the thread, where can I get some working cables? Anybody use Hydros and Tunze pumps
