Hopefully they added some advanced logic to the V2 controller. I burned through fleece very quickly and was dissatisfied with the original controller before transitioning to Hydros. Even with the Klir V2 I would suggest controlling via Hydros. Additionally I would suggest using a Generic output rather than the built-in Klir recipe. The Klir recipe works ok with tweaks made below Enable Advanced Settings. I have Klir, Sump High, Sump Full and AWC Drain water level sensors each lower in the sump in my setup. The Generic output allows me to only run the Klir when sensor Klir is WET and Sump High is DRY with the same Enable Advanced Settings tweaks. I also use the Klir WET sensor as an input to my customized ATO to prevent it from triggering until Klir dumps any backed up water.
With the original Klir filters, there was kind of a 1.1 release that upgraded the drive motor from 3RPM to a higher torque 11RPM motor. Uncertain the specifications of the original but I don't recall replacing the motor at the time CoralVue replaced them for me. The new (current) motor is significantly larger in diameter and per my (unused sitting on the shelf) controller/power adapter 12V 0.6A. Checked the details of the V2. Zooming in on the motor it *appears* the same approximate dimensions of mine and the specifications below indicate it is also 12V 0.6A. (Actually it reads 12V 0.06A but that has to be a typo and can't possibly be correct.) I can't say with certainty but I am very confident it is the same body and motor with a new controller and much more accurate triple sensor.
