If channel 1 is dimming and not channel 2, as a process of elimination, I would change channel 2 to channel 3 & then channel 4 to see if the wires may go to a different channel then 2. If that doesn’t work maybe a bad cable??

It certainly could be, I’ll check some things today. Are you sure that t is not something in the wiring between the Control 4 and the lighting fixture?
Good recommendation, they are wrapped in pairs already so I’ll swap channels 1&2 with 3&4 and see if what happens. I switched from outputs 1&2 to outputs 3&4 and it didn’t the same thing... one light came on at 100% and the other ramped up as expected.Good recommendation, they are wrapped in pairs already so I’ll swap channels 1&2 with 3&4 and see if what happens. Thanks @Bruce_K
That’s correct, the apex adapter is what I was told to use. What cable are you using? Is it the one that goes to RJ45 connectors. If so it may be that the pinout is not the same as the light fixture for CH 2. That cable was originally for hooking the Apex outputs to the wave engine. I would have to assume it has the same pinout as the Apex module with those connector. I could not find the pinout on the Hydros forum for it.
The XHO dimming unit is RJ45 as wellThat’s correct, the apex adapter is what I was told to use.
No I also needed a RJ45 female to female adapter which allows me to connect it to reefbrites dimmerDoes that plug directly into the light fixture?
These are the cat5 connectorsNot all adapters are the same. Some are for telco use and others for data use. You probably need the one for data or CAT 5 use. The telco ones may flip the connections since polarity does not matter with telco connections. The photo does show for LAN use though.
When it was hooked up to my apex a few weeks ago, It all worked fine. I could set it up again and verify that it’s all still working on the apex. The odds of the Control 4 having an issue with two output ports is very slim. I would concentrate on the wiring or the light at this point. Do you have another way to check the lght such as a different control device?
Each light has its own inputDoes the light have a single input for both channels? Do they use a single 3.5mm Stereo jack for both channels?
One I believeI understand, but how many channels on each light? One or two?
So you have two lights with one RJ45 cable each. How are you plugging the two cables from the lights to one connector on the cable from the Control 4.One I believe
