I am new to this hydros system and am confused on how to set things up. The whole depends on has me confused. I have a sensor in my ato container of the sump and want my solenoid valve to open and fill up the reservoir when the sensor is dry. The solenoid is hooked up to a drive port.

This is what i came up with. Not sure if this will work.

Is this an RODI system? Is do you have a full sensor in the container along with the low level sensor?

I use a Brute trash can as my DI storage for ATO. It is automatically refilled when it goes low. I copied this from my Build thread on R2R. Hope this is a help.

Below is a screenshot of the settings for the DI tank. The only one I will use on this is the Feed Output Device. It is the DI fill solenoid between the RODI unit and the DI tank. The other two outputs I don't currently have. The next setting is the high level input. This is the full sensor on the tank that is to be refilled. The next setting is the Low Level Input. This is the sensor that will start the fill sequence in the tank being filled. The next input is the Leak Detector Input. If you have a single leak detector at you RODI station and storage tank you can select that detector here. I have two sensors so I used the Depends On settings to do the same thing.

The next setting is the Depends On setting. It is set to Leak Garage. That output is a combination of the RODI leak detector and AC leak detector. The Detector under the AC is within a few feet of the RODI unit and the storage tanks. So I use it as a backup for the RODI detector. The dependency mode is off if on. I have the advanced settings enabled. I did this so I can set the Feed Maximum On Time. I set this to 4 hours. I am going to see if that shorter time frame is ok. Feed Run Past Max On Time is set to off. I want it to turn off it it goes that long and is still on. Notification level is set to orange. That way I will get an alert if it runs too long. This will create three Tiles in outputs but all lead to these same settings. It is split into three outputs so there is an indicator for all three.

What my plan I was thinking of doing is running the output of my rodi system in the basement up into my sump on the first floor and use this valve to open up when my ato reservoir is low. I have only 1 sensor in my ato reservoir. I figured set the on time on the solenoid to maybe a max of 5-15 minutes as that should be enough to fill the ato reservoir back up.

Ill be honest, how you currently have things set up seems very confusing to me as im still just trying to understand the basics of this system. Im still just trying to grasp the depends on and dependency modes. Im not grasping when things should or shall get turned on our off under certain settings.
Thank you for your help.

I would at least have full sensor. My DI tank also has a float valve as a backup. I also have a leak detector to back up the backup. Also the is a max on time setup 3 hours and 30 minutes. If this is exceeded something is wrong. It sends an alert and shuts off the fill solenoid until I intervene. That uses the RODI filter type for an output. In this case the output is allowed to do its thing as long as the leak output is not on. If it is on the output will be in the off state regardless of any of the inputs controlling it. Basically the output will perform normally as long as depends on is not triggered. if it is it will do whatever is set in the dependency mode.
