Some folks have had issues upgrading to the new firmware where they update the firmware, and after the device restarts, the STATUS screen is empty. Updating to firmware 186 is a two-step process that is done seamlessly.

Step 1: Download and Install the Firmware
This is a simple process where you tap on the popup prompts to get the device to download the firmware.

Step 2: Migrate Settings from Old format to New Format.
This is the step that some folks are missing. After the device reboots, go into the app and connect to the device again. As soon as you do, you will see an ORANGE status bar at the bottom of the screen that reads "Upload Required Now." All you need to do is tap on that bar to finish the process. After you do that, your pumps will show up on the STATUS screen.

For more detailed instructions on how to upgrade to firmware 186, please check out THIS post.

Your STATUS Screen is Empty

If for some reason, you do not see the ORANGE bar at the bottom, you can STILL get your settings. DO NOT reset the controller! Here is what you do:
  1. From the STATUS screen, tap on the hamburger icon on the upper-left-hand corner and then select OUTPUTS. Make sure you can see your pumps!
  2. Then go back to the main menu and select SCHEDULES. Make sure you can see your flow schedules.
  3. If you see everything, go into a pump or a schedule and make a small change to prompt the app to show you the UPLOAD NOW bar. Tap to migrate and upload your settings!
My Settings Are Gone

If the settings are gone because the controller was reset or some other reason, you can always easily recreate the settings to get your controller/pumps running.

Step 1: Tell the Controller Where and What Model Pump is Connected

The first step is to tell the controller where the pump is connected and what type of pump is connected. Here are the instructions on how to do that:

IceCap WiFi Controller Instructions

Step 2: Tell the Controller How YOU Want the Pumps to Run

The second step is to create a flow schedule that tells the controller how YOU want your pumps to run.
