What is the "Terminator"?

I know it's a wierd deadend plug but what the hell does it do? Is anybody else curious? Can I get a wiring diagram?

It is just a resistor for the CAN buss. Here is a link to the connectors Full DIY Hydros Pinout Cheat Sheet . The one for the command buss has the resistor value and the pins it is connected to listed.

What that resistor does is stop signal reflection from bouncing back and forth along the cable run and jumbling up the signal into something unreadable. You need one terminator /resistor at each end of CAN network.
