    Input buttons and update 177

Not sure what could be causing the issue, but presumably the box itself is working because you can see the applied voltages correctly. I have one other suggestion in my playbook. Did you try turning it off and on again?

    Input buttons and update 177

I am updating my Control now to check- as far as I know nothing should have changed. You can troubleshoot the input by creating an analog input on the channel the switch box is plugged into. Leave the scale at 1, and no offset. Once you upload this, you will have a live reading of the voltages...

Control to Wifi Strip Communication - LAN or WAN

I believe it communicates with the power bars locally, LAN.

0-10v and Drive Ports - Help me understand

Yes you 100% get the idea Mode control with single button: 1. Go to Options and select the mode channel input (Lets say channel #1) 2. Connect the momentary button between Channel 1 and Ground (0v) 2. Go to your mode (lets say your Feed Mode) and put 0v as the trigger, with Exit Delay for the...

0-10v and Drive Ports - Help me understand

The 0-10v inputs can be used with analog sensors, float switches, magnetic door switches, buttons, toggles, etc. One of the best features of the Control4- I make a breakout so its easy to use. For example you can add a <$10 air temp and humidity sensor to monitor room conditions, float...

    0-10v question

No, it is just a stereo jack. 2 pin. Control4 is 6 pin GX connector.

    0-10v question

This is for the IC2C, Icecap Dual Controller. Not the Control4; no power source.

    0-10v question

Yes Típ is channel 1 input, ring is channel 2 input, sleeve is ground. You only need a single channel for 1 button, so no need to worry about the ring. So battery negative to sleeve, battery positive to tip, with a button put anywhere to interrupt the circuit until pressed.

    0-10v question

Ive done this with a 9v battery, that applies voltage to the IC2C when pressed. You could do something similar with a doorbell, but would still need to have a power source inline with the wiring. Center pin positive, outer sheath negative.

    Dumb Question—Quad Cable 0-10v

There are four channels- so you can control 4 unique 0-10v devices. I am not sure exactly what you are asking, but yes you would be able to program different "volts" to each channel.

DIY 0-10V Input Switch Box (5 Switches)

It rounds to the whole number , so you could just set that value (both dots) to 3. IMO, all float switches or similar devices should go in between ground and a channel input. Therefor they will read 0 when triggered, as opposed to the floating value. That is the simplest way to do it, and why...

DIY 0-10V Input Switch Box (5 Switches)

Yes, 1v steps on each of the 4 channels. In reality the port is super accurate (can be used with analog sensors), but I guess they decided that 10 steps is sufficient on one channel. I agree with them, it keeps it nice and simple. Its worth noting that only one voltage can be applied at a...

    Recommended Routers

There are no ethernet cables run in this ancient home- have to use mesh extenders. The AC750 is making a unique network (Named Aquarium2G) that only the Controls have access to. Tested it at ~35mb/s, so should be good I think.

    Recommended Routers

Just installed an Eero Pro 6 mesh system (amazing), and the Control2/Control4 were the only devices that couldn't use it. They saw the network and could connect, but after a minute would breathe yellow continuously. Fixed with an inexpensive WIFI range extender we already had, think its a...

DIY 0-10V Input Switch Box (5 Switches)

I cant seem to send messages on this forum, shoot me an email at Harrysaquatics@gmail.com. The options would be either a switch box that plugs directly into the 0-10v port, or the breakout box PLUS a switch box that has bare wire ends. The benefit of direct connection is that it looks cleaner...

DIY 0-10V Input Switch Box (5 Switches)

I've been assembling breakouts and switch boxes as fast as I can, but really need preassembled GX12-6 plugs. I have like 2 dozen of each model partially assembled, but am waiting for cables! The switch boxes can be designed to plug directly into the 0-10v input, but that wastes the three other...
