I think will order a hydros dosing pump and go with solution your help would be greatly appreciated. Are you by chance using the aci method and whatcare your thoughts / results if you are
Im not doing the ACI method, no. I tried it for a bit, but I never got comfortable doing it. I do feel there are systems that can get benefit from it, but not mine. I dose 1440ml’s 24/7 now out of an AvastMarine K1, and top off the Kalk every couple weeks. I also do dynamic dose of ESV B-Ionic 2 part to take care of the remaining DKH drop my tank requires.

I have started a new tank with all new equipment (hydros) and such my old tank did fine on the Berlin method and I might still go back to a form of that I just wanted to try a new technique and this method interest me but dose seem there could be dangers that could arise thanks again for your assistance

You’d need to define danger really, but overdosing kalk is not good, though most of the really excess will precipitate out. But that can be prevented with a schedule and on/off virtual outlets. If it’s a new tank you just set up I would highly recommend waiting for a decent alk consumption and not focus much on PH just yet.

The minimum dose time for the simple dosers is 2.5 seconds so it will need to run that long each time it runs if using a dosing schedule. Even using a generic output type there may be a minimum amount of time that it will stay on each time but it would not be any longer than what it would be on a dosing schedule.

The Hydros simple doser is a Kamoer built pump. It will run when powered at around a 43ml flow rate. You can calibrate the Hydros to the pump by doing the calibration if you use it with a dosing schedule. You can also use it with a generic output and there you could use a timer and pH reading to control it. I use one for my ATO and it is in my garage and the tank is 35ft away. The tubing between the pump and tank is run up through the attic inside insulated PVC conduit. I have been using it for about 2 1/2 years now.
Could I use that doser to pull stored RO water from my basement to a Kalk Stirrer? I'm assuming with what everything I read I can set the pump in the hydros to turn off when at a certain PH. Not sure if the 43ml/min is too much for my system. I have about 70 gallons of system volume.
