Thanks for the reply. I think I need to give you some more information on my setup. Using the control 4 with a kamoer pump plugged into the wifi strip. I have it to turn on at 10pm and off at 10 am currently to replace my evaporation with the kalk that is how I turn on the pump. With your suggestion how would I turn on the pump without the use of the wifi strip?

I understand your setup. The Wi-Fi strips are not designed for anything critical. IE pumps on a schedule, especially dosing pumps, heaters without a 3rd party controller, etc etc. They work fine for on/off IF you have something inline to tell the equipment what to do. If the Wi-Fi strip loses communicating and your pump was last left “on”, it will remain “on” until it establishes communication. “Off” is same situation. If you have the schedule run until 10:00am, and communication drops at 9:59, your pump is going to keep on pumping until communication is restored. You CAN, however use the outlet as a straight up constant power on, and use a pump that has a separate app with a scheduled programmed on that, it will reduce the risk entirely. Do not rely on the WiFi strip you will have problems.

Ok thanks I will have to come up with another plan then
Use a Hydros simple doser that plugs into a drive port. If that has too high a flow rate at 43ml a minute then you can always get an XP8 and use one of the 8 AC outlets on it for the output.

Kamoer x1 pro t2 is my pump
I’m sorry I should have asked what kind of pump. The safest way to use that pump is to program a schedule through the Kamoer Remote app to have it dose your ml/min during the hours you want, and then the absolute minimum on the other half of the day. It won’t let you program 0ml or on/off. Then you’d create a Constant output on the Hydros and link it to the outlet on the WiFi strip. That way the outlet is always on regardless of WiFi strip communication with the collective, and the Kamoer Remote app will control the night/day dosing. I would not set this up as a dependency on PH though since you still could have issues with it shutting off and staying off for too long.

The Hydros simple doser is a Kamoer built pump. It will run when powered at around a 43ml flow rate. You can calibrate the Hydros to the pump by doing the calibration if you use it with a dosing schedule. You can also use it with a generic output and there you could use a timer and pH reading to control it. I use one for my ATO and it is in my garage and the tank is 35ft away. The tubing between the pump and tank is run up through the attic inside insulated PVC conduit. I have been using it for about 2 1/2 years now.

The pump he has will be good on a constant outlet. It’s programmable in the Kamoer app. It’s an option if he doesn’t want to buy a simple doser, though the simple would be a better approach. The Kamoer he has will have better slow constant drip and adjustability

Thanks guys does anyone know if my pump could use the power source from the hydros dosing pump since there both made by kamoer

Here are the specs as long as this is the pump he is using
It looks like it is a 24v pump. If you had a force port and the polarity and connector are the same it would work for it but that port is only on the Kraken so it looks like AC control is the option with that pump if you don't have a Kraken.

Great help guys I got the kamoer app trying to figure out if I can program it to turn on and off at certain times if not I will probably get the hydros pump I believe I can set the flow rate for that pump correct? Might just be easier to use that then

yes you can. Well, not fully off, but you can do the slowest rate possible. I used to let it run at 0.1mls during lights on and 5ml during lights off. There is scheduling on the Kamoer Remote app

Bamatter. Another ? On the dosing of the kalk. last night I had a ph of 7.9 at 9 pm I used the dosing pump to replace my evaporation for 12 hours and had my wife turn off the pump manually. During that time the ph rose to 8.31 currently at 445 pm my ph is 8.25 my ? Is if I use the same method tonight will the ph continue to climb as much as it did the previous night need to make up the evaporation but I don't want the ph to go past the 8.3 mark

It may or may not. PH although creates a common sine wave, what it does throughout the day is largely dependent on CO2 levels in the aquarium and air around. If you want to shut it off at 8.3 you’ll need to create an outlet with depends on PH to turn on and off set a dependency on the schedule. We can help with programming if you need it just let us know

I think will order a hydros dosing pump and go with solution your help would be greatly appreciated. Are you by chance using the aci method and whatcare your thoughts / results if you are
