I know Coralvue switched to a newer sensor from the little blue round optical to a square optical sensor. My last order they were square.

Maybe someone for Coralvue can confirm.
That little round blue sensor I believe is used on other ATO...
Agreed, I have used a separate heat controller for all my controllers that I have ever used, Digital Aquatics, Apex, Hydros.
Those outlets just are not rated to handle how many times a heater can turn off and on depending on the surrounding temperature because it can shorten their life.
I use...
I was going to check last night but ended up leaving for the night. I will check tonight, I do not believe I have that model though. I have a few of the older models but most of my new ones are the IceCaps gyres. I will check just incase. So if someone else has one please post it.
If I forget...
I wonder if it has been changed. I have never seen one like that. They may have changed the whole thing, I see a new controller for it..
Coralvue no longer carries Maxspect so I wonder if they were even notified of the change.
Yea I think by default they are set to shut off at night. I know it happened to me early on I came home later at night and the lights were not on and I was like what? I left them at the setting though because it was a good time for me.
These were my Klir settings when I took them offline about a 6+months ago so some stuff may have changed. I am rebuilding the system.
It worked for my system really well but you may have to tweak yours. So much is dependent on flow, load, feedings, height of sensor etc. I also ran two of them...
750 GPH not sure what Gmp is, I am guessing you meant gph.
If they say it I would not go over that.
If a pump is rated at lets say 1000 gph does not mean that is what you are actually getting after head pressure and all that.
I agree. I think with the sensor now being movable it can help. I had opposite issue, I ran two Klirs on a sump with slower flow and the water took forever to go high enough to trigger it. I should have just plugged the hole on one side and ran one Klir..
Adding it to the Hydros was huge. I...
I didn't even know their was a new version II.
I looked and it does not even say if it is compatible with the Hydros.
I would bet it is though. Wait for @Carlos to say.
If it is the page should be changed on the website to say it is and what is needed.
I see the new one has a magnetic mounted...
A word of warning and I know people do this and has nothing to do with the Hydros but beware of dosing calcium hydroxide based on PH. It can be overdosed if something depresses your PH to much. You could end up with a snow storm or build up in your pump etc.
allot of the instructional videos are here:
https://forum.coralvuehydros.com/forums/hydros-live-workshops.30/
It covers most stuff.
If you want something specific and it is missing request it.
I know there are a couple I would like to see too.
The one that covers all the different controls...

Calcium hydroxide has a limit of how much can be dosed and has side affects if dosed to much. It can precipitate from solution creating a snow storm. It can cause binding of sand bed, coat inside of pumps and pipes etc.
Biggest concern for most is really high ph but that wont happen in your...
That kind of confuses me if I understand you right. Why not put them all on one collective and do pages for each system.
https://www.coralvuehydros.com/product-support/hydros-control/add-a-page/
I am guessing you have separate aquariums and want to keep them separate.
Putting them on a...
